Product Update 243: Total Number of Unread Requests Displayed in Microsoft Outlook

Introduction

When you integrate Exact Synergy Enterprise with Microsoft Office 2007 via Synergy Office Integration (SOI), you can conveniently perform Exact Synergy Enterprise activities within Microsoft Outlook. In Exact Synergy Enterprise, you have the option to enable the setting that alerts you on the total number of unread requests.

If you enable the setting in this implementation, the total number of unread requests will also be displayed at the Outlook toolbar.  The latest number will be displayed once you log on to SOI via Outlook and when you manually send or receive e-mails via Outlook, as well as when the workflow function is automatically refreshed at each defined time interval. This feature provides convenience to users for giving instant updates besides giving a consistent feel when accessing the same function within Exact Synergy Enterprise.
