PU 503 | 502 | 501 (Globe+) and 424 (Globe): Price differences based on tax codes (Japanese legislation)

For our Japanese customers, the price differences in your invoices are based on the Calculation differences or Use first line GL setting that you have defined. Since we have implemented the price differences for invoices based on the settings, the price differences were always assigned to the VAT code “0”.

Due to the legislative audit, the price differences must now be assigned to the correct VAT code based on the defined settings. In this product update, the price differences will be assigned accordingly based on the VAT code. This is to ensure both the VAT overview screen and sales journal screen have the same amount.

The price differences will be displayed in the general ledger based on whether the related setting is selected.

Use first line GL setting is selected

If you have selected the Use first line GL check box in the Details screen (at System > General > Settings > General ledger settings, and then click Detail at Calculation differences under the General ledger section), the price difference will be displayed in the first line of the GL VAT code.

Use first line GL setting is not selected

If you have not selected the Use first line GL check box in the Details screen (at System > General > Settings > General ledger settings, and then click Detail at Calculation differences under the General ledger section), the price difference will be displayed at the Calculation differences GL.

Note: This functionality only applies from the final invoice processing to the sales journal.
