Product Update 243: Additional Configuration Data Added to the Templating Tool

Introduction

Configuration in Exact Synergy Enterprise is very flexible whereby the deployment is customized based on the requirements and business process of the customers. The templating tool is implemented in product update 242 that allows you to reliably export configuration data such as request types, document types, and individual documents from an Exact Synergy Enterprise environment and import it to another. For more information, see Product Update 242: Import and Export Configuration Data with Dedicated Tool.

Due to the high usage of the templating tool, additional configuration data has been added to the tool that allows you to export and import configuration data for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and opportunity management data.

Menu path

There is no menu path for this function.

What has been changed

Various enhancements have been made to the templating tool such as:

The file name of the templating tool has been changed from SynergyConfigurationTool.exe to TemplatingTool.exe.
Exporting and importing CRM configuration data such as company sizes, sectors, subsectors, and sources.
Exporting and importing opportunities management configuration data such as sources, contact roles, and reasons lost.
The export and import log file includes additional information for company size, customer sources, sectors, subsectors, opportunity sources, opportunity contact roles, and opportunity reasons lost.
