Product Update 243: Option to Display Absence Balances in Hours

Introduction

The resource planning displays information of the work schedule of a particular resource. It is important for the planning to be easily understood by other resources in order to facilitate better communication between the parties involved. Many organizations these days employ a time-off policy for resources that require a few hours off from normal working hours, half day emergency leave, sick leave, and others.

Absence planning has been improved to provide absence balances in hours. This will benefit the employer in terms of resource allocation and the employee in terms of number of hours deducted for their absence instead of in days.

What has been changed

  • A View selection field with Days and Hours options has been added. The results under the Opening Balance, Current Balance, and Year end Balance columns will be displayed in hours or days as per the option selected at View selection.
