Product Updates 421 and 420: Advising record lines displayed for contact person in HSBC Malaysia iFile (Malaysian legislation)

Exact Globe Next has been supporting the HSBC Malaysia iFile format since product update 403.

This product update allows you to define whether the contact person (maximum of six recipients) with an email addresses wants to receive notifications. When you generate the iFile, you can use the email address of the contact person for the debtor or creditor to identify whether the ADV lines will be displayed in the bank file. For more information on ADV lines, see Product Updates 421 and 420: Advising record lines included in HSBC Malaysia iFile.

The ADV record line will not be displayed if the contact person’s email address is not provided. However, the ADV record line (maximum of six lines) will be displayed if the contact person’s email address is provided and HSBC ADV is selected at Type in the External References screen.

The ADV record lines will be as follows:

The details in the Advising record lines will be updated as follows:

  • ADV-TBLTXT (HEADER) – PAY REF will be updated to OUR REF
  • ADV-TBLBDY – Invoice Date will be updated to Reporting Date
  • ADV-TBLBDY – Payment Reference will be updated to Our Reference

If there is a grouping on the invoices, for example, 1 payment for 10 invoices, all the 10 invoices will be recorded in ADV-TBLBDY, such as the following:

Note: This functionality is only applicable for the local or foreign payments generated using HSBC Malaysia iFile.
