Introduction
The logical successor of Exact Synergy is Exact Synergy Enterprise. This means for a consolidated scenario, you can upgrade to Exact Synergy Enterprise and still have access to the functionalities you worked with in Exact Synergy. In addition, all the new functionalities that Exact Synergy Enterprise offers will also be made available to you.
As for an integrated scenario, you can also upgrade to Exact Synergy Enterprise, but there is one big difference between the integrated scenario with Exact Synergy and the integrated scenario with Exact Synergy Enterprise. The difference is that Exact Synergy shares the database with Exact Globe, while Exact Synergy Enterprise and Exact Globe both have their own database.
To prevent you from entering data in both Exact Globe and Exact Synergy Enterprise, a background process copies the data over from Exact Globe to Exact Synergy Enterprise or vice versa.
Previously, when you have entered and saved the data in Exact Globe, you could directly access the same data in Exact Synergy and vice versa. With the background process, you could only enter the data in either Exact Globe or Exact Synergy Enterprise and the data would be copied over when the background process was scheduled to copy the data. So, you would need to wait until the background process was executed to access the data in the other product.
To eliminate this disadvantage, a solution is developed to copy the data that has been entered in Exact Globe over to Exact Synergy Enterprise or vice versa in a real time manner (with respect to the network and processor performance). This means that you can enter data in both products and after saving them, this solution will copy the data over so that you can continue to work on the data in the other product.

What has been changed
A solution, called Exact Integrator, is developed to transfer the data in a real time manner between Exact Globe product update 397 and Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 243. The process of this synchronization is displayed in the following diagram:
