Printer settings

Default printer

Select Default printer to use the default printer. If this option is selected, the printer settings under the Output tab at System ➔ General ➔ User settings will be automatically set as Default printer.

Specific

If you have multiple printers, select Specific, and then the printer of your choice. Similar to Default printer, the specific printer setting will be automatically set under the Output tab at System ➔ General ➔ User settings. You can also directly go to the Output tab at System ➔ General ➔ User settings to set the printer settings, as this setting is automatically updated here.

Use printer preview

Select the Use print preview check box to display a preview before every printout.

OK

Click this to save the settings and exit.

Cancel

Click this to cancel the settings and exit.

Settings

Click this to define additional settings for the selected printer. The Default printer screen will be displayed with the following options:

• Settings section
• Portrait, Landscape - Select one of the options to specify the output format of the printout.
• Use print preview - Select this check box to display a preview before every printout.
• Source - Select the paper source. The paper source options available for selection depend on the printer model that you are using.
• Size - Select the paper size used for printing.
• Font section
• Select the font type used for printing.
• Margins section
• Top/Under/Left/Right - Type the preferred top, under, left, and right margins for printing. Note: The Settings function are used for PSV (Printing System Version 5) printing. Therefore, it only applies to certain applications in this system.
• Show section
• User name - Select this check box to include your user name on the header of the printed documents.
• Date - Select this check box to the date on the header of the printed documents. You can select either the Default date or System date option.
• Time - Select this check box to include the time on the header of the printed documents.
• Default currency - Select this check box to include the default currency on the printed documents.
• Example section
• A sample of the selected font type will be displayed here.

Network

Click this to select a network printer.
