Release 380: Support for amount in written text (Portuguese language)

Background

Prior to release 380, it was not possible to print amount in text in Portuguese language. This is crucial for Portuguese customer for the "print check" functionality.

What has been changed

Two new database fields known as "Total in written text" and "Total in written text (fractions)" has been exposed to the layout editor for Portuguese language.

It is now possible to select these 2 field properties for the amount in text functionality. When generating the layout, the amount in text will be shown in Portuguese language.

Important note :

• Under [System / General / User settings]  in General tab, it is mandatory to configure the "Description in list boxes" setting to Portuguese language
  
  
  
• User must ensure layout description is set to Portuguese when editing the layout.
  
  
  
• The new fields can only be used in the following layouts :-
  • Cash Flow - Payment
  • Cash Flow - Payment specifications
  • Cash Flow - Receipt
  • Logistics - Invoice
  • Logistics - Direct Invoice
  • Logistics - Giro collection slip
  • Logistics - Confirmation
  • Logistics - Quotation
  • Logistics - Delivery note
    
    
• For payment and receipt layout, the amount in text language will be superseded by language preferences set in debtor, creditor or human resources maintenance screen. In order to display the amount in text as Portuguese language, user need to leave the language field blank or change the language to "PT" (Portugal)
