Exact partners have the option to download the licenses of their customers.
The Download from customer portal option is available in the Create company wizard screen at ☰ ➔ System ➔ Create company.
The following screen displays the information of the customers.
The columns can be sorted. By default, the Contract number column is sorted. Only customers with Exact Globe Next or the EBS license that is related to the partner will be displayed in the table. The partner can select only one customer from which to download the license. The license of the customer will be downloaded from the Exact Synergy Enterprise portal, and it will be used to create the partner company. If the license selected is invalid, the message “Invalid license” will be displayed.
The partner can only use the license of a customer for 30 days. Once the partner has created a company with the customer license, the date at ☰ ➔ About ➔ License tab under the License tab will display the expiry date (30 days from the current date). However, the date displayed will be the contract expiry date; it is not the expiry date.
At the System ➔ General ➔ Change license menu path, the Expiry date field has been changed to Contract expiry date whereby the contract expiry date will be displayed instead of the expiry date. This field will only be displayed to the partner that created the company with the customer license.
If a partner created a company for a customer, the customer can remove the limited time use of the license by updating the license with his own credentials.
The message “Your license has expired” will be displayed to the partner once the license has expired. The partner will not be able to use the company created with the customer license. The partner will have to create another company.
The steps for Exact Synergy Enterprise are similar.
On the Database: Create page, select the Portal option.
After entering the credentials, the partner will be able to select his own license or his customer’s license at the Contract field.
The Expiry date field will be displayed at the Modules ➔ System ➔ Setup ➔ License ➔ Info menu path. This field will only be displayed to the partner that created the company with the customer license.
