Product Update 416: Exact Globe Next and Exact Synergy Enterprise will support only Microsoft .NET framework 4.7

Exact Globe Next and Exact Synergy Enterprise uses the latest Microsoft .NET framework. As of this product update, Microsoft .NET framework 4.7 must be installed, and only the Microsoft operating systems that support this framework will be supported. The product updater will check the requirements before you will be able to proceed with the updates.

The following will not be supported by Microsoft .NET framework 4.7:

• Microsoft Windows 8
• Microsoft Windows 10
• Microsoft Windows 10 November update
• Microsoft Windows 7
• Microsoft Server 2008 SP2

The following will be supported by Microsoft .NET framework 4.7:

• Microsoft Windows 10 Fall Creators Update
• Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update
• Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update
• Microsoft Windows 8.1
• Microsoft Windows 7 SP1
• Microsoft Server version 1709
• Microsoft Server 2016
• Microsoft Server 2012 R2
• Microsoft Server 2012 (64-bit edition)
• Microsoft Server 2008 R2 SP1

Exact Globe Next and Exact Compact

The following error message will be displayed if the operating system is not supported when running the Exact Globe Next or Exact Compact product updater, and you will not be able to continue with the product update.

The following error message will be displayed if the supported operating system contains the older version of Microsoft .NET framework, or when Microsoft .NET framework is not installed.

Exact Synergy Enterprise

If the Exact Synergy Enterprise product updater is executed on the operating system that contains the older version of the Microsoft .NET framework, the following error message will be displayed. The Microsoft .NET framework version 4.7 must be installed before you can continue with the Exact Synergy Enterprise installation.

Exact Globe Next MSI

The following error message will be displayed if the Exact Globe Next.msi is executed on the unsupported operating system.

The following error message will be displayed if the supported operating system contains the older version of the Microsoft .NET framework, or when Microsoft .NET framework is not installed.

Exact Synergy Enterprise MSI

The following error message will be displayed if Exact Synergy Enterprise.msi is executed on the supported operating system that contains the older version of the Microsoft .NET framework, or when Microsoft .NET framework is not installed.

Note: Only the product updaters for Exact Globe Next and Exact Compact will check the operating system during the installation. The checking for the Microsoft .NET framework will be performed during the installation and upgrading of Exact Globe Next, Exact Compact, and Exact Synergy Enterprise.
