Prerequisites for running Exact Globe, Exact Synergy Enterprise or ELIS in the Azure or AWS cloud

Introduction

Exact supports running Exact Globe, Exact Synergy Enterprise and ELIS in different cloud platforms using different components delivered by these cloud platforms, like for example Azure SQL. What are the prerequisites for running mentioned products on a cloud platform? 

Note: This document is only relevant to the controlled release participants.

Explanation

Running Exact Globe, Exact Synergy Enterprise and ELIS has certain prerequisites when using them in a cloud platform. Below an overview of the prerequisites can be found:

1. Used environment must comply with the system requirements of Exact Globe, Exact Synergy Enterprise and ELIS
2. Exact Globe, Exact Synergy Enterprise and ELIS must all run in the same environment and in the same region. 
• Example 1: Exact Globe and Microsoft SQL server both must run in the same cloud. It is not possible to run Exact Globe on premise and Microsoft SQL Server in the cloud
• Example 2: Exact Globe and Exact Synergy Enterprise both must run in the same cloud. It is not possible to run Exact Globe in the cloud and Exact Synergy Enterprise on premise 
• Example 3: Exact Globe and Exact Synergy Enterprise both must run in region west europe in Microsoft Azure. It is not possible to run Exact Globe in West Europe and Exact Synergy Enterprise in North Europe
