The Import / Export screen is displayed when the Import / Export icon is clicked in the Payroll > Entries > Enter screen at Payroll ➔ Entries ➔ Enter. For more information, see Creating and maintaining payroll entries. This screen allows you to import and export the payroll entries of the people to Microsoft Excel.
Select Export to export the payroll entries of the people to Microsoft Excel or Import to import the payroll entries of the people from Microsoft Excel.
Select this option to export the template. No data will be exported. By default, this option is selected.
Select this option to export the payroll data.
Type or select the start date or range of start dates to export the data for the selected start date. Select the All check box to export the payroll data with any start date.
Note: This field is enabled only if Export is selected at Action, and Data is selected in the Export section.
Type or select the end date or range of end dates to export the data for the selected end date. Select the All check box to export the payroll data with any end date.
Type or select the cost centre or range of cost centres to export the data for the selected cost centre. Select the All check box to export the payroll data with any cost centre.
Type or select the person or range of people to export the data for the selected person. Select the All check box to export the payroll data with any person.
Type or select the component or range of components to export the data with the selected component. Select the All check box to export the payroll data with any component.
Type or select a file name to import the data.
Note: This section is enabled only if Import is selected at Action.
This section displays the progress of the export or import process.
Click this to start the export or import process.
Click this to exit.
