Sources are used to specify the method of procuring an external party (for example customers, suppliers, and associates). For example, you can source for customers through cold calls, direct mailing, trade fairs, web advertisements, and others. The statistics compiled on sources are used to gauge the effectiveness of marketing methods.
On this page, you can view a list of existing sources. You can also create sources, or modify or delete existing ones on this page.
All users are able to access this page to view the sources. However, to create, modify, or delete sources, function right 497 – Maintain CRM sources is required. By default, users with the Customer manager role have this function right.
Note:
The information in this document is applicable to product update 240 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon is mandatory.
Click this to update the results.
Click this to create a source. For more information, see Creating and modifying sources.
Note: This is available only if you have function right 497 – Maintain CRM sources.
Click this to delete the selected sources.
Click this to exit.
You can delete a source by selecting the corresponding check box, and then click Delete. To select all the listed sources at once, select the check box at the header of the list. Clear the check box at the header of the list to clear the selection of sources at once.
This column displays the codes of the sources. You can click the hyperlink to view or modify the corresponding source. For more information, see Creating and modifying sources.
This column displays the descriptions of the sources.
