It is possible that you might be working with partners in the sales cycle for some opportunities. Partners have different roles in different opportunities and at different stages in the sales cycle process. Some partners may have the role of advisors, knowledge provider, lead generator, and some have a share in the revenue from a successful deal.
This screen displays all partners that are involved in the sales cycle process for the opportunity. The partner account is listed together with the name of the contact at the partner organization and the role of the partner in the sales cycle process.
To view all partners for the opportunity card, go to Customers/Report/Opportunity management/Search, define the relevant criteria. Next, click Show to display the relevant opportunities. Click the relevant opportunity code in the Opportunity: Code column. In the opportunity card, click All in the Partners section.
All users can access this page.
Users with the following security rights are allowed to add or edit the partners for opportunities. For more information, see Security of the Opportunity.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.
Click this to update the list of partners involved in the opportunity.
Click this to add a new partner to the opportunity. Alternatively, you can click Add under the Partners section in the opportunity card. For more information, see Adding and Modifying Partners for Opportunities.
Click this to exit.
You will see a list of partners involved in the sales cycle for the opportunity. At the top of the screen, you will see the code of the opportunity card and the description. You can click on the code and description to return to the opportunity card. The following are the columns in the overview.
This displays the account code of the partner.
This displays the name of the partner account. Click the name to view the partner account card.
This displays the contact person within the partner organization.
This displays the job description of the partner contact person.
This displays the role of the partner within the opportunity.
This displays the telephone number of the partner contact person.
This displays the e-mail address of the partner contact person.
Click to delete the selected partner. You will see a message "Confirm: Delete?" Click OK to delete or Cancel to cancel the deletion.

Click to modify the selected partner. You will see the partner maintenance screen. For more information, see Adding and Modifying Partners for Opportunities.
