Manufacturing ➔ Reports ➔ BOM
The bill of materials (BOM) report consists of information on the component items used to manufacture an end item. This includes information such as the item type, the BOM condition, routing, quantity needed for one unit of an end item, its effective date as well as its expiry date.
You can filter single and multi-level BOMs for display. To search for items linked to a BOM, you can define one or more of the following criteria and click Excel. The items that match the search criteria you have entered are then displayed.
Type or select an item code or item code range to display the BOM report for the selected item(s). Select All to display the BOM for all items.
Select the required option to specify the version of the BOM you want to retrieve. Select Main to generate a report of the main version of an item’s BOM, All to generate a report of both the main (first version) and all subsequent versions of an item’s BOM or Select and specify a version to generate a report of that item BOM’s version.
Click Assortments to display a list of all your assortment types. You will see the Assortments screen. Select the assortment you want to display in the overview, and then click Select. Click Close to exit the Assortments screen. You will now see a green check mark next to Assortments.
Note: Assortments need to be specified at System ➔ General ➔ Settings ➔ Item Data Settings or at Inventory ➔ Items ➔ Assortments before it is available here.
This section is available only when Advanced is clicked.
Type or select the effective date or date range to generate the report for BOMs that are activated within that date range. Select All to display BOMs that are activated on any date.
Type or select the expiry date or date range to generate the report for BOMs that expire within that date range. Select All to display BOMs that expires on any date.
Click Warehouses to display a list of all your warehouses. By default, all warehouses are selected. To generate the BOM report, at least one or more warehouses must be selected. Select the warehouse that you want to display in the report, and then click Select. Click Close to exit the Warehouses screen.
Select the required option(s) to display the BOM report for item(s) with the following types: Standard, Labor hour, Machine hour, Phantom, and/or Bulk issue. You can select more than one.
Select the maximum number of BOM level(s) to be displayed for the defined item(s). Select All to display all levels of the BOM.
Type the number of decimal places to be displayed in the relevant column(s) of the BOM report such as Batch Quantity and Quantity.
Click Excel to generate the BOM report in Microsoft Excel.
Note: The Operation, Step, and Outsourced columns are available when Operation is enabled in the Settings screen. This is accessed by clicking System ➔ General ➔ Settings followed by Manufacturing settings. Select Operations under the Operations section to enable it.
Click Advanced to display additional search criteria. Click Simple to hide additional search criteria.
Click this to exit.
