Handling machine planning

Introduction

Machine planning is the process of allocating the requirements for machine hours which can derive from transactions such as sales orders, internal use, and production orders to available capacity of machine hours. The requirements can also be based on an MRP scenario which is generated at the MRP engine via Manufacturing/Planning/MRP engine.

You can plan machine hours based on the availability and requirements for machines at Manufacturing/Planning/Machine planning. The machine hour capacity or availability is based on the generation of capacity in the machine item maintenance under the Planning tab of machine maintenance via Manufacturing/Setup/Machines.

At Manufacturing/Planning/Machine planning, you can filter the machine hours and requirements planning that you want to display.
