You can generate new or edit the reference numbers (also known as Our ref. or Our reference in Exact Globe) used in general, cash, bank, and purchase journals by clicking the Edit icon at the Financial section in System/General/Settings/Numbers settings.
This shows the range of reference numbers used in the journals. Range 1 means the range of Our reference numbers used in the general, cash, and bank journals. Meanwhile, Range 2 means the Our reference numbers used in the purchase journal.
Type the first number to be generated. By default, this number is the result of +1 of the last number in the existing range of numbers. You can type a new number; however, you have to ensure that the number does not overlap with any number that is in the existing range. If you type a number which is within the existing range, you will see the ‘Overlapping range’ error message.
Type the quantity of numbers to be generated.
This shows the last number to be generated based on the first number and the quantity of numbers to be generated which you have set. You cannot edit the last number.
Click this to generate the new range of numbers. If the new range of numbers does not continue from the existing range, you will have the following options:
