Asset groups can be maintained at Assets/Assets/Asset groups. When registering an asset the asset group is selected, whereby the linked general ledger accounts in the selected asset group are automatically registered to the asset. Asset groups are used for financial grouping of the assets whereby transactions of similar assets are registered to the same general ledger accounts.
You can filter the sales orders that you want to display. To search for sales orders, you can define one or more of the following criteria and click Search. The sales orders that match the search criteria you have entered are then displayed.
Note: It is possible that not all the columns in this example are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For detailed instructions on how to customize displayed columns, see Related document: Inserting and deleting columns.
Click Search to search for the asset groups based on the specified criteria.
Click Clear to clear the specified criteria.
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If you have set the default number of rows as 2, then 2 rows will be displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 2 rows listed, you will see the Previous and Next buttons.
Click Previous to return to the previous screen.
Click Next to go to the next screen.
Select the required option to filter the search that starts with or contains a certain letter or word.
Type a full or partial code of the asset group to search for the relevant asset group. The asset group is based on the Asset group defined in the asset groups maintenance via Assets/Assets/Asset groups by clicking New.
Type a full or partial description to search for the relevant asset group. The description is based on the Description defined in the asset groups maintenance via Assets/Assets/Asset groups by clicking New or Open.
Type or select a full or partial code of depreciation method to search for the relevant asset group with the selected depreciation method. The primary depreciation method is based on the Primary depreciation method specified in the asset group maintenance via Assets/Assets/Asset groups by clicking New or Open. The Depreciation method can be defined at Assets/Assets/Depreciation method by clicking New.
Type or select a balance sheet assets account to search for the asset group with the selected balance sheet asset account. The balance sheet asset account is based on the Balance sheet assets account specified in the asset groups maintenance via Assets/Assets/Asset groups, by clicking New or Open. The Balance sheet asset account is of type balance sheet and of category asset and of sub-category fixed asset that can be defined at Finance/General ledger/Chart of G/L’s by clicking New.
Type or select a balance sheet account to search for the asset group with the selected balance sheet account. The balance sheet account is the Accumulated Depreciation G/L account of type Balance sheet and category Asset, which is specified in the asset group. This G/L account can be created at Finance/General ledger/Chart of G/L’s by clicking New.
Type or select a profit & loss account to search for the asset group with the selected profit & loss account. The profit & loss account is the Depreciation account of type Profit & Loss and of category Expenses which is specified in the asset group. This G/L account can be created at Finance/General ledger/Chart of G/L’s by clicking New.
Click Recode to rename the selected asset group.
Note: The Recode button is enabled only if an asset group is selected.
Click Delete to delete the selected asset group.
Note: The Delete button is enabled only if an asset group is selected.
Click Open to view or modify the selected asset group.
Note: The Open button is enabled only if an asset group is selected.
Click New to create a new asset group.
Click Close to exit.
