Error "Error 14001: This application has failed to start..." when starting a WMS or ICL service
Problem
When starting a WMS RF service, following message shows:
Error 14001: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Cause and solution
A possible cause is that you made a typing error in the CONFIG file of this service, on adjusting the SQL server and database name.
Please check the CONFIG file in the service installation folder.
In this sample, the closing quotation marks are missing for the server name:
