Introduction
You can restore a migrated database in Microsoft Azure SQL
database via Exact Globe+.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product
update 502 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features
explained here will not be applicable.
Description
- Click Settings on the left menu, click System,
and then click Backup/Restore.
- Click Next.
- Select Setup Microsoft Azure SQL Database and click Next.
- Type
the relevant information at the following fields:
- Server name — Type the Microsoft Azure
SQL database server name. This is mandatory.
- Database name — Type the Microsoft Azure
SQL database name. This is mandatory.
- Login name — Type the user name for the
Microsoft Azure SQL database server. This is the user with administrator rights to the
Microsoft Azure SQL database server. This is mandatory.
- Password — Type the password for the user
that is entered at the Login name field. This is mandatory.
- Click Next to continue. The entered information will be verified.
- Once
successfully verified, a screen with the Action,
Server, Database, and Company information
will be displayed.
Keep in mind: These fields cannot be edited.
- Click Finish to start the Microsoft Azure SQL Database setup.
- When
the processing is done, the message “The migrated Exact Globe company is
restored successfully” will be displayed.
- Click Close to close the screen.
After the database is restored, the details of the restored
database will be saved in the cloudDB.xml file that is located in the
Exact Globe+ installation folder.
