Introduction
In Exact Globe Next, communications with business contacts can be entered in the form of activities. From the overview, you can also:
-
view the details of the customer
-
view the details of the customer’s contact person
-
edit the details of the activity
-
delete the activity, or
-
create an activity.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product update
421 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features
explained here will not be applicable.
How do I create an activity?
- In the CRM > Entries > Activities
screen, click New.
- Select an activity type.
- Click Select. For more information, see Creating
and maintaining CRM activities.
How do I view the account of the selected activity?
- In the CRM > Entries > Activities
screen, define the search criteria.
- Click Search.
- Select an activity in the overview.
- Click Account. For more information, see Creating
and maintaining accounts receivable.
Keep in mind: The Account button is enabled
only if an activity is selected in the overview.
How do I view the contact of the selected activity?
- In the CRM > Entries > Activities
screen, define the search criteria.
- Click Search.
- Select an activity in the overview.
- Click Contact. For more information, see Creating
and maintaining contact persons.
Keep in mind: The Contact button is enabled
only if an activity is selected in the overview.
How do I edit the activity?
- In the CRM > Entries > Activities
screen, define the search criteria.
- Click Search.
- Select an activity in the overview.
- Click Edit. For more information, see Creating
and maintaining CRM activities.
Keep in mind: The Edit button is enabled only
if an activity is selected in the overview.
How do I delete the activity?
- In the CRM > Entries > Activities
screen, define the search criteria.
- Click Search.
- Select an activity in the overview.
- Click Delete. The message “Delete” will
be displayed.
- Click Yes.

activity is selected in the overview.
Fields
Note: It is possible that not all the columns in the overview are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For more information, see Inserting and deleting columns.
Search
Click this to search for the activities
based on the search criteria.
Clear
Click this to clear the search criteria.
Rows
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If you have set the default number of rows to 10, then 10 rows will be displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 10 rows listed, you will see the Previous and Next buttons.
Previous
Click this to return to the previous overview.
Next
Click this to display the next overview.
Filter
Select starts with, contains, or equal to to search for the activities with a certain letter or word.
Filter
Click this to expand the search criteria. The Selection section will be displayed. Click this again to hide the search criteria.
Selection section
Type
Select the type of activity to be displayed. You can select any of the following:

All – Select this to display the activities with any
type. By default, this is selected.

Customer survey – Select this to display the activities related to
the customer surveys.

Sales order – Select this to display the activities related to
the sales orders.

Sales question – Select this to display the activities related to
the sales questions.

Sales quotation – Select this to display the activities related to
the sales quotations.
-
Terminate contract – Select this to display the activities related to
the contract termination.
Priority
Select the priority of the activities to be displayed. You can select any of the following:

All – Select this to display the activities with any
priority. By default, this is selected.

Urgent – Select this to display the activities that are
urgent.
-
High – Select this to display the activities with high
priority.
-
Medium – Select this to display the activities with
medium priority.
-
Low – Select this to display the activities with low
priority.
-
Long term – Select this to display the activities with
long-term priority.
Account
Type or select an account to display the activities
with the selected account. You can also leave this field empty to display the activities
with any account.
Status
Select the status of the activities to be displayed. You can select any of the following:

All – Select this to display the activities with any
status. By default, this is selected.

Open – Select this to display the activities that are
still open.
-
Realized – Select this to display the activities that are
realized.
Person
Type or select a person to display the activities
that the selected person is in charged of. By default, the person who is
logged in will be displayed.
Buttons
Account
Click this to view the details of the account for the selected activity. For more information, see Creating and maintaining accounts receivable.
Note: This button is enabled only if an activity is selected.
Contact
Click this to view the details of the contact for the selected activity. For more information, see Creating and maintaining contact persons.
Note: This button is enabled only if an activity is selected.
Edit
Click this to view and/or modify the details of the selected activity. For more information, see Creating and maintaining CRM activities.
Note: This button is enabled only if an activity is selected.
Delete
Click this to delete the selected activity. A message “Delete” will be displayed. Click Yes to delete the activity, or No to exit.
Note: This button is enabled only if an activity is selected.
New
Click this to create an activity. The Activity
types screen will be displayed. Select Sales question to create a
sales question for the debtors, Customer survey to create a customer
survey, Service external to create a service call for the debtors, Service
internal to create a service call for the people, or Sales quotation
to create a sales quotation for the debtors. Click Select to continue. For more information, see Creating and maintaining CRM activities.
Close
Click this to exit.
