In the master purchase schedule, you can define how many items need to be purchased for future sales or production, and in which period. The quantity is based on expected sales.
In practice, the aims of the master purchase schedule are as follows:
You can filter the master purchase schedule that you want to display. To view the schedule, you can define one or more of the following criteria and click Start to display the schedule or click Excel to generate the schedule in Microsoft Excel. The master purchase schedule that matches the criteria you have defined is then displayed.
Type or select the warehouse to generate the master purchase schedule for the selected warehouse. This information is mandatory.
Note: Items can be used and/or stored in different warehouses. This also means that the requirements for different items can vary per warehouse.
Type or select a budget scenario to generate the master purchase schedule based on the selected budget scenario. This enables you to simulate several scenarios when a certain amount of items will be required ('What if' analysis). This information is mandatory.
This information is non-editable. It displays the Plan period as defined in the selected Budget scenario. It can be Daily, Weekly, Bi-weekly, 4-weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly.
Type or select the date range to generate the master purchase schedule for the selected period. By default, the All check box is selected to generate the master purchase schedule for all dates defined in the selected budget scenario.
Note: If you choose to fill in the date range, then the Year, Month, and Week options are not available. The year/month/week should be within the year(s)/period(s)
Type or select the year to generate the schedule for the selected period. Although, by default, the All check box is selected, the master purchase schedule for only the selected year of the budget scenario will be generated.
Note: This option is available only if you specify a range or months, or weeks.
Type or select a month or a range of months to generate the schedule for the selected period. Although, by default, the All check box is selected, the master purchase schedule for only the selected month(s) of the budget scenario will be generated.
Note: This option is available only if you specify the year. However, it is unavailable if you specify the Week.
Type or select a week or a range of weeks to generate the schedule for the selected period. Although, by default, the All check box is selected, the master purchase schedule for only the selected week(s) of the budget scenario will be generated.
Note: This option is not available if you specify the Month.
Select an item group or a range of item groups to generate the master purchase schedule for items with the selected item group(s). By default, the All check box is selected to generate master purchase schedule for items with all the item groups.
Select an item or a range of items to generate the m aster purchase schedule for the selected item(s). By default, the All check box is selected to generate the master purchase schedule for all the items.
Select Standard or 150% to display the schedule in standard column size or at 150 percent of the standard column size.
Click this to generate the master purchase schedule in Microsoft Excel based on the defined criteria.
Click this to generate display the master purchase schedule based on the specified criteria.
Click this to exit.
