Finance > General ledger > Select > Search
In Exact Globe+, you can search financial transactions. These consist of information on general ledger, accounts receivable or accounts payable transactions. You can use the filter to specify criteria for finding financial transactions.
The information in this document is applicable to product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Keep in mind: Before you export a general ledger table, you must first activate the Print Spooler service to export journals to Microsoft Excel. Otherwise, you will get an error message.
Select the required option to filter the financial transactions that starts with or contains a certain text/number.
Select Date, Fulfillment date, or Reporting date to display the financial transactions accordingly.
Type or select a date or range of dates linked to the financial transactions. Select the All checkbox to search for financial transactions linked to all dates.
Type or select a GL account or range of GL accounts linked to the financial transactions. Select the All checkbox to search for all financial transactions.
Type or select a journal linked to the financial transactions. Select the All checkbox to search for financial transactions linked to all journals.
Type the entry number linked to the financial transactions. Select the All checkbox to search for financial transactions linked to all entry numbers.
Type or select a cost center or range of cost centers linked to the financial transactions. Select the All checkbox to search for financial transactions linked to all cost centers.
Type or select a cost unit or range of cost units linked to the financial transactions. Select the All checkbox to search for financial transactions linked to all cost units.
Select one of the subcategories.
Note: This is available only if you have defined the cost center categories and subcategories at System > Finance > Cost centers/units > Categories. You can define up to four cost center categories and name them accordingly.
Type or select a creditor or debtor account linked to the financial transactions. Select the All checkbox to search for financial transactions linked to all creditor or debtor accounts.
Type a full or partial Our ref. linked to the financial transactions.
Note: The Filter starts with or contains is applicable to this criterion.
Type a full or partial External number linked to the financial transactions.
Type a full or partial Your ref. linked to the financial transactions.
Type a full or partial sales or purchase order number linked to the financial transactions.
Type a full or partial description of the financial transactions.
Type or select a selection code linked to the financial transactions.
Select one of the following options to display the financial transactions accordingly:

Select one of the following options to display the search amount accordingly:
Select a foreign currency to display the search amount accordingly. This is enabled only when Foreign currency is selected at Currency amount. However, if you do not select a foreign currency code, then transactions in both the default and foreign currencies will be displayed.
Note: You can only select active currencies. For more information, see Creating and maintaining currencies.
Note: When any of the options is selected except All, one or two boxes for entering the required search amount are displayed.
When searching for transactions, Currency amount, Currency, and Amount are used together to search for transactions in the relevant currency with the relevant amount.
Note: It is possible that not all columns in this example are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For more information, see Inserting and deleting columns.
Click this to exit.
Click this to print general ledger transactions within the defined criteria.
If you want to start a new search, click Clear to clear the defined criteria.
Click this to export all financial transactions within the defined criteria to Microsoft Excel.
Note: Before you export a general ledger table, you must first activate the Print Spooler service to export journals to Microsoft Excel. Otherwise, you will get an error message. For more information, see You cannot use page setup properties in Excel if no printers were installed.
Click this to view the Creditor card of the selected general ledger account. For more information, see Viewing creditor cards.
Click this to view the Debtor card of the selected general ledger account. For more information, seeViewing debtor cards.
Click this to display the detailed financial transactions of the selected general ledger account. The displayed financial transactions are grouped by general ledger code. For more information, see Viewing G/L cards.
Click this to display the detailed financial transactions of the selected general ledger account.
Click this to retrieve and view the processed sales invoice. This option is only enabled when the entry has been created at Invoice > Entries > Invoices. For more information, see Creating and maintaining sales invoices.
Click this to modify or update the selected entry. For more information, see Modifying transaction details.
Click this to refresh the displayed financial transactions. You will see all financial transactions that match the newly defined criteria.
