Creating and changing free fields description

Introduction
Exact Globe Next provides the flexibility for you to customize the descriptions of your master
data based on your requirements. You can include any extra descriptions using the extra fields.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product
update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features
explained here will not be applicable.
How do I create and change the free fields description?
- In the overview of free fields
at the Language field, select the required language from the
drop-down list.
- Then, choose the required table
to be displayed at the Table field. The list of descriptions,
column names, and customized words will be displayed in the Description,
Column name, and Customise columns respectively.
- Select the field for which you
want to customize or modify the existing description and click Open.
A Terms screen will be displayed.
- Fill in the Customise field
and click Save. The additional detail will be displayed in the Customise
column automatically.
- Click Close to exit.
Fields
Term
This displays the selected free field.
Language
This displays the selected language used in the description
of the free field.
Customise
Type the customized description or change the existing
description for the selected free field.
Buttons
Save
Click this to save the changes made to the customized free
field description and the new free field description.
Delete
Click this to delete the customized free field description.
Close
Click this to exit.
