Overview of items

In this screen, you can obtain an overview of items, other than hour items, but including outsourced items. Items are the heart of your organization as they heavily determine whether your organization will be successful or not. For this reason, Exact Globe Next allows you to keep a lot of information related to an item. Items are used throughout various modules here.You can filter the items that you want to display by defining one or more search criteria.
Click this to search for items based on the defined criteria.
Click this to clear the defined criteria.
Type the number of rows to be displayed in each screen. If you have set the default number of rows to 10, then 10 rows will be displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 10 rows listed, the Previous and Next buttons will become available.
Click this to return to the previous list of items.
Click this to display the next list of items.
Select the warehouse linked to the item(s). Select All to display items linked to all warehouses.
Click this to display the Assortment boxes and the Status and Attributes check boxes.
Select the specific assortment(s) to search for items grouped under the assortment(s).
Note: The number of assortments displayed depends on the assortment(s) you have defined at Inventory ➔ Items ➔ Assortments or under the Assortments section in Item data settings. For more information, see Creating and maintaining assortments or Item data settings. If you have defined two assortments, then two assortment boxes will be displayed. You can define up to 10 assortments.
Select the Active, Blocked, Discontinued, Future and/or Inactive check boxes to display items with the corresponding status.
Select the Sales, Stock, Make, Buy, Part, Batch, Serial and/or Service check boxes to display items with the corresponding attributes. You can select more than one check box.
Note: This is available if you are obtaining the overview via the menu paths other than Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Outsourced Items.
Select starts with or contains to display the item that starts with or contains a certain letter or word.
Type a full or partial code of the item to display items with codes that contain this information.
Type a full or partial description of the item to display items with descriptions that contain this information.
After defining the search criteria, click Search to display the search results.
Note: It is possible that not all columns are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For more information, see Inserting and deleting columns.
Click this to perform similar updates on many items in a batch, simultaneously. For more information, see Updating items in batches.
Click this to rename the selected item. For more information, see Recoding.
Click this to copy all the basic information of the selected item to a new item that you want to create. If you have selected the relevant options before copying, you can also copy its attachment, extra description, main supplier, main warehouse and BOM (main version). For more information, see Copying items.
Click this to delete the selected item. Once clicked, a confirmation message will be displayed. Click Yes to confirm deleting the item or No to cancel.
Click this to view and edit the selected item. For more information, see Creating and maintaining items.
Click this to create a new item. For more information, see Creating and maintaining items.
Click this to exit.
