Introduction

Rejected material is the excess amount of purchased material that is not used in the production process and cannot be returned to stock. The overview of rejected material displays key data for each production order, such as the excess quantity and the cost involved. You can obtain an overview of rejected materials in this screen.

Columns

The rejected material overview provides information on the end date of the production order, the excess quantity rejected by production process, and the cost of the rejected quantity.

This column displays the project numbers that are linked to the production orders.

Description

This column displays the descriptions of the production orders as filled in by you when you created the production orders.

Item code

This column displays the item codes of the finished items which have been taken into production through the production orders.

End date

This column displays the end dates of the production orders as filled in by you when you created the production orders.

Quantity

This column displays the actual number of rejected units. The actual quantity is calculated by comparing the units of materials issued to the units of finished products that have been received. If the number of finished products received is smaller than the number still to be received as per the production order planning, then too much materials have been issued. As soon as you decide not to return the excess material, the materials are then treated as rejected.

Costs (EUR)

This column displays the actual costs for the rejected materials by units. These costs are calculated by multiplying the number of rejected units by the cost price of the materials.
