The Complete Projects screen will be displayed when Auto complete is clicked at Projects ➔ Projects ➔ Maintain projects. With Auto complete, you can complete one or more projects that are ready to be completed, automatically.
Every project has an end date whereby a project is ready to be completed. A project is ready to be completed when the budget (planning) costs are equal to the actual revenue (realizations). This means all its child projects and the linked sales orders, internal use requests, and purchase orders are completed, and invoices are printed. Once completed, it is not possible to link any activity, or enter any realizations or financial transactions to the project. However, if you have additional transactions after a project is completed, you need to change the status. For example, when a customer requests for new items to be added to a sales order, the items need to be realized in the project. Exact Globe Next allows you to change the status of a completed project by selecting a different status at Status in the MRP section under the Basics tab of the corresponding project card.
After clicking Auto complete, a list of ready-to-be-completed projects will be displayed.
By default, the check boxes for all projects are pre-selected. To remove a selection for a project, clear the respective check box or click Deselect all to remove the selections for all projects.
Click this to refresh to the original screen whereby all projects are pre-selected.
Click this to remove the selections for all projects. Once clicked, the button will change to Select all. Select the check boxes under the Select column for the required projects or click Select all to select all projects.
Click this to complete the selected project(s). Once clicked, a window will prompt you to type or select the completion date. For more information, see Completing a project or project order.
Note: This is enabled if at least one project is selected.
Click this to exit.
