Overview of Answer Templates for Tests, Polls, and Quality Analysis

Introduction

At this page, you can obtain an overview of predefined answer templates for assessments such as tests, polls, and quality analysis. You can use the answer templates when you want to conduct assessments that contain questions with a standard set of answers. The questions for all assessments will be displayed according to the order of the description of the questions at the design stage. However, the order of the answers for the assessments will be as follows:

When executing a test, the answers are displayed in a random order.
When executing a poll or a quality analysis, the answers are displayed in the order set in the design of the question.

If you define the answer templates as mandatory, the creators of the questions will not be able to influence the final layout of the answers. In Exact Synergy Enterprise, an assessment is defined as an item. A question is defined as an item too and linked to the assessment with an item relation. Therefore, the same question can be re-used in different assessments. Answers are defined as serial numbers for the question item. Every answer can have a separate value, which is determined by the score of the selected answer.

If you have created any answer templates, it will be listed after clicking the Show button. However, if you have not created any answer template, you will receive the message, “No data found”. The columns display the following information which is retrieved from the saved test templates:

Subject – This displays the description of the answer templates. Click the hyperlink to view or modify the template.

Creator – This displays the person who created the answer templates.
Modified – This displays the date and time the template was modified.
Type – This displays the document type used for storing the answers.

To create a new answer template, click the New button.

Roles & rights

To view the predefined answer templates the following function rights and roles are required:

Function right 462 – View pivot analysis of online test results. Users with the Division General Manager and Division HR roles have this function right.
Function right 34 – Maintain World Items, except to change the. Users with the Division Item management role have this function right.

For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

Note: Once you have clicked this button, the name of the button will change to Refresh.

Refresh

Click this to refresh the overview based on the latest selection at Test: Templates.

New

Click this to create a new answer template for an assessment.

Close

Click this to exit.

Test: Templates

Select the Test, Quality analysis, and/or Poll check boxes to display the answer templates for the corresponding assessments. It is mandatory to select at least one of the assessments. Then click Show.
