You have to define the settings for a test or poll before you can design it. For more information, see How-to: Managing Assessments. At this screen, you can define the settings for a test or poll.
Workflow/Setup/Assessment/Settings – Test/Poll
All users can view the settings. The owner of an assessment or item and the people with the following function rights can maintain assessments:
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh and then click the required link under the Role column.

Type or select the document type created for the test or poll questions.
Note: The document type will contain all the test or poll questions.
Type or select a document to link to a poll when the person finishes answering the questions. For example, you can attach a note to thank the respondent for participating in the poll.
Note: This field is available only in the Poll section.
Type or select the request type created for the test or poll planning/schedule. Click New to create a new request type.
Note: The request type is only used for the test or poll functionality. Only people that receive this request can execute a test, within the start and end time indicated in the planning/schedule request. You must create different sets of planning/schedule and answer request type for tests and polls.
Type or select the request type created for storing the answers to the tests or polls. Click New to create a new request type.
Note: The request type is only used for the test or poll functionality. The system will create this type of request for every answer replied in a test or poll. You must create different sets of planning/schedule and answer request type for tests and polls.
Type or select the assortment in which the test items are stored.
