Besides linking taxonomy elements to general ledger (general ledger) accounts, you can also link general ledger accounts to taxonomy elements. To do this, go to Finance ➔ VAT / Statistics ➔ XBRL ➔ Link taxonomy and double-click on a report in the taxonomy. In the Link taxonomy screen, select G/L Accounts at Mode and then click Refresh. For more information on the other fields, see Linking taxonomy elements to general ledger accounts.
This screen displays the list of general ledger accounts that can be mapped to the taxonomy elements.
Under the Taxonomy element column, “Linked: 1” indicates that the general ledger account has been linked to one taxonomy element while indicates that the general ledger account has not been linked to any taxonomy element. Click Click : Link taxonomy to link the specific general ledger account to taxonomy element(s). The GL account - Taxonomy elements screen will be displayed.
This displays the taxonomy version and description selected from the Taxonomy screen.
This displays the return report selected from the Taxonomy screen.
This displays the general ledger account you have selected to be linked to the taxonomy element(s).
This column will display the taxonomy elements which have been linked to the general ledger account. Click Click: Delete to remove the link between the general ledger account and the taxonomy element. Click the hyperlink of the taxonomy element to view the details of the taxonomy version and return report that it belongs to.
Note: If the specific general ledger account has not been linked to any taxonomy element, you will see the message “No data which meets the criteria entered” on the GL account – Taxonomy elements screen.
Click this to update the list of taxonomy elements once you have linked the general ledger account to specific taxonomy elements.
Click this to link the general ledger account to specific taxonomy elements. The Taxonomy elements screen will be displayed.
The Taxonomy version, Return, and G/L Accounts fields display information on the taxonomy version, return report, and the general ledger account that you want to link to the taxonomy elements respectively. You can further define the criteria to filter the taxonomy elements that you want to link to by using the following fields:
Select the required option to filter the taxonomy elements that starts with or contains a certain letter or word.
Type the description of the taxonomy elements to search for the taxonomy elements with matching description.
Select the page number of the report to view the specific page or select the All check box to view all the pages of the selected report.
Note: This field will be displayed only if the selected report has more than one page.
Once you have defined all the criteria, click Refresh to view the list of taxonomy elements. From the list, click the hyperlinks of the taxonomy elements to link the general ledger account to the taxonomy elements. If the selected taxonomy element has already been linked to the general ledger account, you will see this message “Already exists”. Click Close to exit without linking the general ledger account to the taxonomy elements.
Click this to exit.
