Maintaining warehouse cards

Introduction

Warehouse cards are records of all inventory transactions specific to the respective warehouse or warehouse location. Inventory transactions are mainly inflow transactions (receiving, interbranch transfer, positive stock count, return fulfillment) and outflow transactions (fulfillment, negative stock count).

Fields

You can filter the warehouses that you want to display. To search for warehouses, you can define one or more of the following criteria and click Search. The warehouses that match the defined search criteria are then displayed.

Note: Different fields will be displayed depending on the option you have selected at Group by and whether the Warehouse locations check box is selected under the Fulfillment section in Inventory settings at System ➔ General ➔ Settings.

Search

Click this to search for warehouses or warehouse locations based on the defined criteria.

Clear

Click this to clear the defined criteria.

Rows

Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If you have set the default number of rows to 10, then 10 rows will be displayed. If you have more than 10 rows listed, the Previous and Next buttons become available.

Click this to return to the previous screen.

Click this to go to the next screen.

Filter

Click the required option to filter the search that starts with or contains a certain letter or word.

Group by

You can specify how you want the overview to be grouped. Select any of the following options:

Warehouse – Select this option to display all the warehouses.
Warehouse location – Select this option to display all the locations of the warehouses.

Note: The Group by option is available only if the Warehouse locations check box is selected under the Fulfillment section in Inventory settings at System ➔ General ➔ Settings.

Warehouse code

Type the code of the warehouse to be displayed.

Note: This is displayed only if the Warehouse option is selected at Group by and the Warehouse locations check box is selected under the Fulfillment section in Inventory settings at System ➔ General ➔ Settings.

Name

Type the name of the warehouse to be displayed.

Warehouse

Type or select a warehouse to be displayed.

Note: This is displayed if the Warehouse location option is selected at Group by and the Warehouse locations check box is selected under the Fulfillment section in Inventory settings at System ➔ General ➔ Settings.

Fixed item code

Type or select an item code to display the specific warehouse.

Note: This is displayed if the Warehouse location option is selected at Group by and the Warehouse locations check box is selected under the Fulfillment section in Inventory settings at System ➔ General ➔ Settings.

Warehouse location

Type a warehouse location to display the warehouse linked to the warehouse location.

Description

Type a description or part of it to display warehouse(s) that matches this description.

Type

Select the required option to display the specific type of warehouse locations.

Multiple item location — Select this to display warehouse locations of the type multiple item location. Multiple item locations are used to store more than one item at a given time.
Fixed item location — Select this to display warehouse locations of the type fixed item location. Fixed item locations are used to store only a specific item at a given time.
Variable item location — Select this to display warehouse locations of the type variable item location. Variable item locations are used to store any single type of item at different times.
All — Select this to display all warehouse locations.

Pick/Bulk location

Select the required option to display the specific type of warehouse locations. You can maintain warehouse locations in the Warehouse locations tab at Inventory ➔ Warehouse management ➔ Warehouses.

All — Select this to display both pick and bulk warehouse locations.
Pick — Select this to display only pick warehouse locations. Pick locations are used to store items for preparation to deliver.
Bulk — Select this to display only bulk warehouse locations. Bulk locations are used to store items in large quantities, for example raw materials or lower value inventory.
None — Select this to display all warehouse locations.

After defining the search criteria, click Search to display the results.

Note: It is possible that not all columns displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For detailed instructions on how to customize displayed columns see Inserting and deleting columns.
