Subsectors are used to further group sectors of external parties (for example customers and suppliers) into the specific business segments. For example, the financial sector can be further categorized into their respective business segments such as insurance, retail banking, and investment banking. Like sectors, you can use subsectors to efficiently manage customer relationships.
All users are able to access this page to view the subsectors. To create, modify, or delete subsectors, function right 305 – Maintain sectors and subsectors is required. By default, users with the Customer manager role have this function right.
Note:
The information in this document is applicable to product update 240 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon is mandatory.
Click this to update the results.
Click this to create an entry for subsector. For more information, see Creating and modifying subsectors.
Note: This is available only if you have function right 305 – Maintain sectors and subsectors.
Click this to delete the selected subsectors.
Click this to exit.
You can delete a subsector by selecting the corresponding check box, and then click Delete. To select all the listed subsectors at once, select the check box at the header of the list. Clear the check box at the header of the list to clear the selection of subsectors at once.
This column displays the codes of the subsectors. You can click the hyperlink to view or modify the corresponding subsector. For more information, see Creating and modifying subsectors.
This column displays the descriptions of the subsectors.
This column displays the policy documents linked to the subsectors. You can click the hyperlink to view the corresponding document.
