You can classify the countries in the system by different continents or regions. It is possible to create a continent by selecting Continents and then clicking New on the overview page of continents/regions. To create a region, select Regions and then click New on the same page. For more information, see Overview of Continents/Regions.
System/Setup/References/Countries: Classifications, and then click New.
To create continents or regions, function right 93 - Maintain countries is required. Users with the HR role have this function right.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.
Click this to save the new continent or region entry.
Click this to save the new continent or region entry and then create another continent or a region entry.
Click this to exit.
Type a unique code for the new continent or region. You can type up to three alphanumeric characters for the code. This is mandatory. Once the code is saved, it cannot be edited.
Type a description for the new continent or region. This is mandatory.
