Go to Projects ➔ Projects ➔ Maintain projects.
You will see this screen by clicking the Planning tab in a project master card available via In this tab, you can obtain an overview of the following financial data of the project:
Besides that, you can also maintain the orders and requests linked to the project or create a new one.
You can filter the financial data that you want to display by defining one or more criteria and clicking Refresh. The financial data that match the defined criteria are then displayed. A list of options appears when you click in the Growth box. From the list, make a selection and click Select.
This displays the planned start and end date of the project as defined at Planned under the Basics tab in the MRP section. If you select Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly at Scale by clicking , you can also edit the date here. To edit, type or select a different date or range of dates to display the financial data on this date or within this period. However, if you select Project at Scale, you can only edit at Planned under the Basics tab, in the MRP section.
Select this check box to display the budget created for the project based on the selected budget scenario. Once selected, the Budget Scenario check box is enabled and the Copy button will be available on the right hand side of the overview.
Type or select a budget scenario. Once selected, the description of the budget scenario is displayed.
Note: This is enabled only when you select the Budget check box.
Select this check box to display the planned financial data of the project.
Select this check box to view the actual financial data of the project.
Select Amounts or Quantities to display the financial data in terms of amounts or quantities, respectively.
Select this check box to display the financial data from child projects.
Select this check box to include the actual and planned financial data on Saturdays and Sundays when the project is set to “Daily”.
Scale
Click or , and then click Refresh to display the overview on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or project basis, in an ascending or descending order.
Note: When you group by Item, the Purchase order button will be on the right hand side of the overview.
Note: The columns displaying the budgeted, planned, and actual financial data will only be available if you have selected the Budget, Planning, and Actual check boxes respectively.
After defining the search criteria, click Refresh to display the financial data that meet the defined criteria.
Note: It is possible that not all columns in the example are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For more information, see Inserting and Deleting Columns.
Budget: Costs
This indicates the cost in terms of quantity or amount budgeted for and allocated to this project at System/Finance/Budgets. For more information, see Entering Budgets.
Budget: Revenue
This indicates the revenue in terms of quantity or amount budgeted for and allocated to this project at System/Finance/Budgets.
Planning: Costs
This indicates the planned cost in terms of quantity or amount involved in a task planning, internal use request, or purchase order. The task planning, internal use request, and purchase order are linked to this project via Projects ➔ Planning ➔ Tasks or New: Task, HR ➔ Entries ➔ Internal use or New: Internal use, or Purchase ➔ Entries ➔ Purchase orders or Purchase order. Select the corresponding cell and click Edit to view the respective entry screens.
Planning: Revenue
This indicates the planned revenue in terms of quantity or amount involved in a sales order. The sales order is linked to this project via Order ➔ Entries ➔ Sales orders or Purchase order. Select the corresponding cell and click the Edit to view the respective entry screens.
Actual: Costs
This indicates the actual cost in terms of quantity or amount for the project. Select the corresponding cell and click Edit to view the actual financial transaction of a purchase order, sales order, and sales invoice at the project transaction card.
Actual: Revenue
This indicates the actual revenue in terms of quantity or amount for the project. Select the corresponding cell and click Edit to view the actual financial transaction of a purchase order, sales order, and sales invoice at the project transaction card.
Click this to create a new task for the project. For more information, see Creating and Maintaining Tasks.
New: Internal use
Click this to create a new internal use request for the project. For more information, see Creating and Maintaining Internal Use Requests.
Edit
Click this to edit the selected sales order, task, allocated budgets, or internal use request. You can also view the actual financial transaction of a purchase order, sales order, and sales invoice when you select the actual revenue and cost by clicking the same button.
Note: This is enabled only when you select a sales order, task, allocated budget, internal use request, or the actual revenue and cost.
Delete: Task
Click this to delete a task linked to the project.
Note: This is enabled only when you select a task.
Purchase order
Click this to generate a purchase order when you select a sales order, task, or internal use request.
Note: This is available only when you group the planning schedule by Item as described at Scale and enabled only when you select a sales order, task, or internal use request.
Copy
Click this to copy a budget scenario linked to the project.
Note: This is available only when you select the Budget check box.
You will see the following buttons in addition to the buttons in the main document:
Click this to refresh the screen based on the latest criteria defined.
Note: This button is available only in the Planning tab of all types of projects.
Click this to export the results to Microsoft Excel.
Note: This button is available only in the Planning and Rates tab of all types of saved projects.
