During conversion of your database to release 220, all previous Employee self service (ESS) users who were assigned with Role 961 – Employee Self-service Portal User as well as any other roles will be converted to ESS users. Although they will still be ESS users in the updated database, all the roles which were previously assigned to them will be automatically removed. However, you can trace all the roles which have been removed during the conversion as well as the ESS users who were affected in the conversion process. This can help you to adjust your business administration and process as ESS users will have restricted access to the functionalities in the system.
Go to System/Setup/License/Info, and click Removed ESS user roles report under the License section.
Note: The hyperlink will be available only if you are an administrator and your database has been converted.
Only users with the Administrator role can view the conversion log report. For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

The System: Conversion log (Deleted: Roles) screen will display information on the names and identification (ID) numbers of the ESS users affected in the conversion, their respective divisions, as well as the information on the roles which have been removed from them.
This column displays the division codes of the ESS users.

This displays the name of the ESS users.
This displays the role IDs which have been removed from the ESS users.
This displays the description of roles which have been removed from the ESS users.
