This report displays the investment, revaluation, and depreciation values of assets in order to arrive at the book value for a particular financial year.
To generate an asset year-end total report, go to Assets/Reports/Asset year end totals.
Type or select a G/L account or range of G/L accounts to display G/L accounts that contain transactions linked to assets. Select All to display all accounts that contain transactions linked to assets.
Type or select the asset group or range of asset groups to display assets linked to the asset group. Select All to display all assets.
Type or select a serial number or range of serial numbers to display assets that match these serial numbers. Select All to display all assets with serial numbers.
Type or select a contract number or range of contract numbers to display assets that match these contract numbers. Select All to display all assets with contract numbers.
Note: Serial number is shown when Fixed assets is selected at Type while Contract is shown when Purchase contract is selected.
Type or select an item code or range of item codes to display assets that match these item codes. Select All to display all assets with item codes.
Select the type of asset to be displayed in the report. Select Fixed assets to display fixed assets of the organization or Purchase contract to display assets that are tied to a purchase contract.
Select the year to generate the report for that year only.
Select the method to display the report. Select Year to group transactions based on the defined year or Period to group transactions that occurred within the defined periods.
Type the period or range of periods to display transactions that occurred between these periods. Select All to display related transactions for all periods.
Note: This is enabled when Period is selected at Show.
Select the Previous year: Investment check box to display the previous year’s investment figures in the report. Select the Previous year: Depreciation check box to display the previous year’s depreciation figures in the report.
Note: Previous year: Depreciation is enabled when the Previous year: Investment check box is selected. Both options are unavailable if Purchase contract is selected at Type.
Select this check box to display the serial number of the asset(s) in the report.
Select this check box to display the description of the asset(s) in the report.
Note: This is unavailable if the Serial number check box is not selected.
Select this check box to display the purchase amount of the asset(s) in the report.
Select this check box to display the depreciation method or number of periods of the asset(s) in the report.
Note: If Fixed assets is selected at Type, Depreciation method is shown. If Purchase contract is selected at Type, Number of periods is shown.
Select this check box to display the purchase date of the asset(s) in the report.
Select this check box to display the transfer of the asset(s) in the report.
Click this to generate the report in Microsoft Excel.
