Maintaining properties of accounts categories

Introduction

This document provides you the steps to maintaining the properties of the account categories.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 407. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create a code for a category?

  1. Go to System General CRM Categories
  2. In the Categories screen, click  at the field of the relevant account category.
  3. Click , and the Category: Properties screen will be displayed.
  4. At Code, type the code for the account category.
  5. At Description, type the description for the code of the account category.
  6. Click Save, and then click Close.
  7. green check mark will be displayed next to the account category to indicate the category has been defined with a code.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.

How do I edit the description of the code of an existing category?

  1. Go to System General CRM Categories
  2. In the Categories screen, click  at the field of the relevant account category.
  3. In the Categories selection screen, select the relevant category code.
  4. Click .
  5. At Description, type the new description for the account category.
  6. Click Save, and then click Close.

How do I delete the code of a category?

  1. Go to System General CRM Categories
  2. In the Categories screen, click  at the field of the relevant account category.
  3. In the Categories selection screen, select the relevant category code.
  4. Click , and the account category will be removed.
