Granting access rights to specific Media Control Access (MAC) addresses

Introduction

In an effort to improve the security of Exact Globe Next, you can grant the access rights to certain workstations that are connected to a network. Go to System ➔ HR & Security ➔ Workstations and click New to grant the access rights to the system for the workstations you require to be connected. By doing this, only workstations with a network card with certain Media Access Control (MAC) addresses are permitted to log on to Exact Globe Next.

How do I grant access rights to workstations for connecting to Exact Globe Next?

1. In the Server screen, click New. Alternatively, click Open to edit the existing MAC address.
2. Define the fields.
3. Click Save, and then Close to exit.

Keep in mind:

• By default, there will be no MAC addresses defined when you first access Exact Globe Next. This means, all workstations will be able to access the system.
• You can grant the access right to the workstation that is currently in use by clicking the Default button.
