System ➔ HR & Security ➔ Workstations
In an effort to improve the security of Exact Globe Next, you can grant the access rights to certain workstations that are connected to a network. Go to System ➔ HR & Security ➔ Workstations and click New to grant the access rights to the system for the workstations you require to be connected. By doing this, only workstations with a network card with certain Media Access Control (MAC) addresses are permitted to log on to Exact Globe Next.
The information in this document is based on product update 406.
Keep in mind:
Type a valid MAC address. The MAC address you type has to comply with the MAC address convention of exactly 12 characters (alphanumeric) without any hyphen or semicolon. This information is mandatory.
Note: This field is automatically filled with the MAC address of the workstation that is currently in use when the Default button is clicked.
Select this check box to grant the access right to the MAC address. By default, this is selected. If this is selected, the system will perform the MAC address security validation whenever a user from the workstation with the defined MAC address attempts to log on to Exact Globe Next. However if the check box is cleared, access to Exact Globe Next from the MAC address will always be blocked even if the MAC address has been defined correctly.
Click this to save the settings defined for the MAC addresses and access rights.
Click this to exit.
Click this to display the MAC address of the workstation that is currently in use at MAC address.
