Creating jobs

Introduction

The main document explains the situations the jobs are used. The next list of steps should be followed in order to setup jobs in the SQL Server Agent.

  Creating a job

• Setup tab page "General".
• Setup tab page "Steps".
• Setup tap page "Schedule".
• Setup tab page "Notification".

Explanation

• Start the Enterprise Manager.
• Expand a server group, and then expand a server or create a new SQL registration.
• Expand Management, and then expand SQL Server Agent.
• Right-click Jobs, and then click New Job.
• The next screen is displayed.
