This page allows you to search for items that are available in the system.
All users can use this function.
Note:
The information in this document is applicable to product update 260 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Click this to exit.
Click this to display the result according to the defined criteria.
Click this to clear the defined criteria.
Click this to count the total number of items that match the defined criteria.
Click this to display the default fields and column settings.
Click this to update the division and security level of the items in batches. This button is available only after you have clicked Show to display the items. For more information, see Updating item details in batches.
Click this to create a request for the items. If 10 items are displayed in the list, the request will be sent to the item managers of the 10 items. This button is available only after you have clicked Show to display the items. For more information, see Generating multiple requests for item managers from item search.
Click Customise at the title bar to customize the fields or sections. You can add or remove existing criteria based on your preferences by selecting or clearing the relevant check boxes. Click Save to save the settings, Default to reset your selections to the default setting, or Close to exit without saving.
You can add or remove columns based on the information that you want to view. You can arrange the order of the columns by clicking the Up or Down buttons.
Select the types of the items to search for the relevant items. The types available are Standard, Phantom, Machine hour, Labor hour, Contract, and Bulk issue.
Type a full or partial item code to search for items with codes that start with a certain letter or word that you typed.
Type a description to search for items that match the description.
Select an account to display the items that are linked to the account.
Select a person to search for items that are under the responsibility of the selected person. This person is also commonly referred to as the item manager.
Select the statuses to search for the relevant items. The item statuses available are Active, Inactive, Future, Blocked, and Discontinued.
Type or select a date or a range of dates to display the items that are valid within the selected dates. If you enter only the start date, the items that are valid starting from the date is displayed. If you enter only an end date, the items that are not valid after the date is displayed. If you enter a date range, items that are valid within the date range are displayed.
Select a unit of measurement to display the items that are measured with the unit of measurement.
Select a division to display the items that are linked to the division.
Select a country to search for items that are available in the selected country.
Type a security level or range of security levels to display the items that the users with the defined security levels can view and edit.
Select a warehouse to display the items that are available in the warehouse.
Select a general ledger account to display the items linked to the asset account that matches the selected general ledger account.
Select a general ledger account to display the items linked to the stock account that matches the selected general ledger account.
Select a general ledger account to display the items linked to the cost of goods sold account that matches the selected general ledger account.
Select a general ledger account to display the items linked to the revenue account that matches the selected general ledger account.
Select the relevant item attributes to display the items that possess the item attributes.
Select an assortment to search for items that are linked to the selected assortment properties. If the selected assortment is linked to assortment properties, you will be able to see the relevant assortment categories and assortment properties.
Keep in mind: The assortment types (from which you can choose the assortment properties) displayed is user defined and available for your items in Exact Synergy Enterprise. For more information, see Overview of assortment properties.
Type a price or a range of prices to display the items with sales prices that match the prices.
Type a price or a range of prices to display the items with cost prices that match the prices.
Type a price or a range of prices to display the items with purchase prices that match the prices.
Select a currency to display the items that are sold in the currency.
Select a currency to display the items that are valued in the currency.
Select a currency to display the items that are purchased in the currency.
Select an option to display the items that are uploaded with attachments or the items that are not uploaded with attachments. The options available are Uploaded: Yes and Uploaded: No.
Select a release that is available for the item attachment to display the item attachments that match the release.
Select an item to display the items that are parents to the selected child item.
Select an item to display the items that are children to the selected parent item.
Select this to display the items that are currently used in documents.
Select this to display the items that are currently used in requests.
This section is displayed by default and cannot be removed.
Select a sorting method to display the results of the item search sorted in the order of the sorting method. The following methods are available:
Select an assortment to display the results of the item search grouped by the assortment.
Select the relevant search criteria, and then type an item code to search for the items that match the search criteria. Click Add, and you will see the search statement displayed in the advanced search display box. You can add more search criteria to a search statement by clicking and or or. For example, if you select “Item code”, “between” and then type “CB1000” and “CB2000”, you will see the search statement “ItemCode Between ('CB1000' And 'CB2000')” after you click Add. This search statement will search for items with item codes that contain the characters “CB1000” until “CB2000”. The search operators available are:
