Depreciate: Asset depreciation
[Assets: Depreciation, Depreciate assets]
You can decide whether you want to depreciate or undo the depreciation for a fixed asset by clicking on the down arrow at the button bar which will show you the {Depreciate} and {Undo depreciate} options. The selection list on the 'Selection' tab will be refreshed based on the option you have selected.
Make a selection of fixed assets and click the 'Depreciate'/'Undo depreciate' button to depreciate/undo depreciate the selected fixed assets. See [Processing functions].
Criteria tab
The general usage of this screen is explained in the System manual. However, some of the fields may differ depending on the functionality. Fields that are not explained in the System manual will be explained here.
Journal number
Select the journal in which the fixed assets are depreciated.
Date
Enter the date that you want to use as an entry date when the fixed assets are depreciated.
Trial
Enable this setting if you want to do a trial depreciation for checking purpose before the actual depreciation takes place. Please note that there will be no transactions incurred until you have disabled this setting for the final depreciation.
