[Master data, Maintenance, Assets, Asset sets]

Asset set

Enter a unique code for the asset set you are creating.

Asset group

Select the asset group to which you want to link the asset set you are creating.

Allow assembled assets

Enable this setting if you want to be able to link an asset to a (main) asset and thus creating assembled assets. These assets can only be depreciated simultaneously. You can link several assets to one main asset. You can create more levels of assembled assets, using [Master data, Maintenance, Assets, Assembled assets] to create the structure of your assembled asset.

  • This is only possible if you enabled the 'Allow assembled assets' setting in [Master data, Maintenance, Assets, Asset sets] for the asset set to which this asset belongs.

Type

The type of asset determines the way in which assets can be specified. There are two different types of assets:

  • Bulk

Assets which are purchased in bulk and for which data should not be specified per unit. You can specify more than one unit in the 'quantity' field.

  • One piece

Assets which must be registered per individual unit without determining the code.

Asset books ('Add' Button)

Linking an asset set to multiple asset books, enables you to design depreciation tables for multiple valuation standards. For each combination of an asset set and asset book the depreciation method and depreciation index table (optional) are selected to indicate which valuation standard is recorded in the asset book linked. The index table linked to the formula which is linked to the selected asset book.

Formula ('Add' Button)

Enter the formula you want to link to the selected asset book.
