Overview of blanket sales orders

Introduction
Blanket sales orders are used when you have a contract to supply goods in large quantities with discounted pricing to the customer. These discounted prices are stipulated upfront for the period of the contract. In this screen, all the created blanket sales orders are displayed. From this overview, you can:
- create and edit notes
- view and/or add attachments to the selected blanket sales orders
- view the debtor card of the customer
- view the log based on the changes made to the selected blanket sales orders
- delete the selected blanket sales orders
- create blanket sales orders, or
- modify existing blanket sales orders.
Fields
You can filter the blanket sales orders that you want to display by defining your search criteria and clicking Search. The blanket sales orders that match the search criteria you have defined are then displayed. A list of options will be displayed if you click at Blanket order, Ordered by, and other fields. From the list, make your selection and click Select.
Search
Click this to search for entries based on the defined criteria.
Clear
Click this to clear the defined criteria.
Number of rows
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each screen. If you have set the default number of rows to 10, then 10 rows will be displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 10 rows listed, you will see the Previous and Next buttons.
Previous
Click this to return to the previous list of blanket sales orders.
Next
Click this to go to the next list of blanket sales orders.
Start date
Type or select the start date of the blanket sales order.
End date
Type or select the expiry date of the blanket sales order. By default, the All check box is selected.
Blanket order
Type or select the blanket sales order number to search for blanket sales orders with the selected number.
Ordered by
Type or select the ID or name of the debtor who placed the blanket sales order. This is mandatory.
Invoice to
Type or select the ID or name of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice.
After defining the search criteria, click Search to display the search results.
Note: It is possible that not all columns are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For more information, see Inserting and deleting columns.
Buttons
Note
Click this to add a new note or to view existing notes for the blanket sales order. For more information, see Creating and maintaining notes.
Note: If a note is already linked to the blanket sales order(s), you will see a green check mark in the Notes column.
Attachment
Click this to attach a new document or to view the documents that are attached to the blanket sales order. For more information, see Overview of attached documents.
Note: If a document is already attached to the blanket sales order(s), you will see a green check mark in the Attachment column.
Card
Click this to view the debtor’s transactions for the selected blanket sales order. For more information, see Viewing debtor cards.
Logbook
Click this to view the changes that have been made to the blanket sales orders.
Note: This button is enabled only if you have selected the Logbook check box at System/General/Settings, in Order settings, under the Entry section.
Delete
Click this to delete the blanket sales order. A message “Delete the data selected?” will be displayed. Click Yes to delete the blanket sales order or No to return to Order ➔ Entries ➔ Blanket orders ➔ Enter.
Note: This is enabled only if a blanket sales order is selected.
Open
Click this to view or edit the blanket sales order. For more information, see Creating and maintaining blanket sales orders.
New
Click this to create a blanket sales order. For more information, see Creating and maintaining blanket sales orders.
Close
Click this to exit.
