InterConnect for Macola Receiving a Purchase Order

Using InterConnect for Macola, you can receive purchase orders if the items meet these requirements: not non-inventory; not multi-bin; not serial/lot; and if the purchase order has been released and printed. Receiving a purchase order in InterConnect updates the item quantity for the location shown on the purchase order just as a receipt would in the back office.

  1. In Exact Synergy Enterprise, navigate to InterConnect, Reports. Under the Macola Progression heading, click Reports: Purchasing.

  2. Under the Current Activity heading, click Open POs.

  3. On the Purchase orders page, sort the list of purchase orders or enter data in the fields at the top of the page to find the purchase order you want to receive.
  4. When you find the purchase order, click the purchase order number link in the P.O. # column.

  5. This shows the purchase order and lists the line items. Click the line item number in the Line No. column.

  6. This shows the line item details. Click the Receive button at the top.

  7. This opens the PO Receive page showing the purchase order number and line number.

  8. The PO Receive page shows the purchase order information and line information that is in the system. You enter the receipt information:

    Date: Enter the Receipt Date for the merchandise. This field defaults to the system date.

    Quantity: Enter the Receipt Qty for the line item.

    Rejected: Enter the quantity of the item rejected.

    Unit Cost: Enter the Unit Cost for the line item. This field defaults to the unit cost on the purchase order.

    UOM: Enter the unit of measure for the merchandise you are receiving. The only acceptable units of measure are the item's purchased unit of measure and the item's stocked unit of measure (referred to as simply the unit of measure in Inventory Management).

    Reject Reason: If you entered a reject quantity, enter the appropriate reject reason code or search for one.

    Packing Slip: Enter the freight Packing Slip number for this purchase order. This field is required if the Require: Packing Slip check box is selected on the PO Settings page.

    Freight Bill: Enter the Freight Bill number for this purchase order.

    Carrier Name: Enter the freight Carrier Name for this purchase order.

  9. On the top of the PO Receive page, click the Receive button. InterConnect returns to the Purchase Order page.
  10. Click the line item number in the Line No. column to see details for the line item receipt. If you did not receive the full quantity of the item, or if there is more than one line item, you will be able to enter additional receipts.
