Logging

Introduction

Master data is in Exact Financials C/S one of the basic items of your financial administration, changes to this data can greatly influence the performance of your company in Exact. Exact Financials C/S offers the possibility to keep track of the changes made in the master data in your company. In this way, you will always know who changed what at what day and time. In Exact Financials C/S it is possible to keep a logbook of the master data changes in your companies. Before you can do so you will have to define which data you want to log. After that the changes in the selected tables will be saved. To be able to have a report of the changes, the data should be posted. To keep the report of the logged data 'overviewable', it is also possible to delete data from the logbook. After the data are deleted, the details will have disappeared. However, it is still possible to see which user has deleted the data in the report deleted logbook data. The logging functionality makes use of the most recent techniques, hence it is only available when you are using a Progress 9 or higher, client.
