InterConnect for Macola Contact Roles
Use the Interconnect - Add Contact Roles: Settings to add a role to a contact. For example, you could use this to allow contacts to create a quote by giving contacts the quoting role. This is the only way to add a role to a contact. Before you can add a role to a contact, the contact must have portal access.

There are two ways to see the roles for a contact:
- Open the contact card and click Marketing History to see the latest role that has been added.
- Open the System, Roles and click the number under the Members column to see the list of employees and contacts that have the selected role.
Adding a Role to a Contact
- Navigate to the main InterConnect screen.
- Click Setup.
- Under the General heading, click Contact Role Addition.

- Division: Select a division.
- Role: Select a role. There are system roles and user defined roles. The roles for InterConnect are user defined roles.
- Person: Enter the resource number for a contact, or click the search button to search for a contact by name. The search shows only Customers, Resellers, and Suppliers (no employees).
- Level: Select a level within the division.
- Click the Save button.
- Click Close button.
- To add another role to a contact, repeat steps 1 through 9.
If you attempt to give a role to a contact that already has the selected role, the system gives the message "Role Already Exists for this user."
Removing a Role from a Contact
- Browse to the main System page.
- Click Setup.
- Under the Security heading, click Roles. This shows a list of all roles that have been defined.
- Find the role associated with the contact, and click the number (under the Members column) that is beside the role. This shows a list of employees and contacts associated with the role.
- Find the contact and click the link in the Level column. This opens the System: Role - Member page.
- Click the Delete button.
- At the prompt "Are you sure that you want to delete this role?", click Yes. This removes the role from the contact.
