Use the Interconnect - Add Contact Roles: Settings to add a role to a contact. For example, you could use this to allow contacts to create a quote by giving contacts the quoting role. This is the only way to add a role to a contact. Before you can add a role to a contact, the contact must have portal access.
There are two ways to see the roles for a contact:

If you attempt to give a role to a contact that already has the selected role, the system gives the message "Role Already Exists for this user."
