How-to: Enable Microsoft Active Accessibility in Exact Globe+

Introduction

You can use third party accessibility tools that support Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA) with Exact Globe+. Third party accessibility tools can detect and recognise the controls in Exact Globe+. Use Microsoft Active Accessibility

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences.
  2. Select the Always display icons and text. Keep menu expanded check box under the Left modules navigation menu section.

 

Use inspection tools

You can use any inspection tools such as UIExplorer, AccessibilityInsights, and other tools. These tools can detect and inspect controls in Exact Globe+ as displayed in the image below (orange boxes).

Limitations

There are several limitations (as shown in the red boxes in the image) such as:

  • The last record in the List View control cannot be detected such as “LayoutBrowser”.
  • The DataGrid header cannot be detected.
