How-to: Mapping in business activity statement (Australian legislation)

Introduction

You can use the Edit button in BAS maintenance to map tax labels (Boxes) to GL codes, VAT return boxes, or type a value for the selected box. Once this is done, a green check mark will be displayed at GL linked and VAT boxes, and a value will be displayed at Manual input. The Edit button is enabled only when you make a selection in BAS maintenance.

Mapping tax labels to GL codes and VAT return boxes

In the screen, select a G/L code(s) that you want to link to, click Select to make a selection (a green check mark will then appear in Linked), and then click OK to return to BAS maintenance. At BAS maintenance, click Save to save the changes and view the results.

Note: This is exactly the same as mapping Boxes to VAT return boxes.

Typing a value for manual input

In the screen, type a value and click OK to return to BAS maintenance. At BAS maintenance, click Save to save the changes and view the results.
