Product Updates 420, 421, and 422: Alphanumeric characters now allowed in Federal ID number and Federal ID prefix fields in Automatic Clearing House Information screen

As an enhancement, alphanumeric characters are now allowed at the Federal ID number (up to a maximum of 9 characters) and Federal ID Prefix Number fields (up to a maximum of 1 character) for United States (US) banks where the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) bank file is used. These are specified when filling up the required information in the Automatic Clearing House Information screen.

An example of this is as follows:

 

This is available when processing cash payments (of a purchase entry). This enhancement also carries into the generated NACHA bank file.
